Arbitrators and ethics

Rules of professional conduct of the arbitrator in the light of international legislations of the Arab Society of Arbitration:

Article I: The arbitrator shall not strive towards being appointed or chosen as an arbitrator by contacting the parties of the conflict.

  • A - business relationships and direct social relations past and present with any of the parties to the arbitration , witnesses or other arbitrators .
  • B - Ties of kinship and affinity with any of the parties to the arbitration, witnesses or other arbitrators.
  • C - The previous links on the subject of arbitration, this obligation applies to declare for the circumstances that you find after the commencement of the arbitration proceedings.

Article IV: the conditions for the award fairly and without bias or taking into account any external pressure or fear of criticism or the effect of any personal interest is the basis of the arbitration and the arbitrator to provide all conditions for all parties to the success of the transparency of this task, as well as speed in the decision to arbitration through the allocation of The time and effort required.

Article VI: The arbitrator shall not accept gifts or benefits directly or indirectly from any of the parties to the arbitration.

Article VII: The arbitrator shall not take advantage of the information obtained during the arbitration proceedings to achieve any benefit for him or to others to prejudice the interests of others

Article VIII: arbitrator is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of all information obtained from both parties and related to arbitration, including the deliberations and the decision of the arbitration.
